I am currently using the Nova Launcher on my Galaxy S3, and have all of the current updates for the verizon network. I like the battery status icon that comes in the facory settings with the option for showing the percentage as well. However, there is another battery status icon on the left side of my pulldown menu with my notifications. I do not know how to remove it! I have tried all factory and Nova settings, as well as many forum searches to find the source for this icon. At this point, I do not know if it is from the Nova launcher, or something that has come from another application I have downloaded. Please help!! I will attach a screenshot. Look in the very top left corner of my screen for the blue numbers-that is the icon.

That looks like an icon from a battery saver app (Juice; GSam; etc) - I haven't seen anything like that from Nova Launcher.

If it is from Nova launcher it should be able to be turned off in the settings area. I don't use NOVA so I couldn't tell you for sure (primarily using Apex at this point). Typically there are going to be setting for "theme" or something that would allow you to alter the way the battery icons look so that may be it but as stated above it could be from a 3rd party battery monitoring app as well?

I have the exact same icon in my status bar, and I have no idea where it came from. Not nova launcher, or any other launchers. I'm on the Nexus 7 (2013) with stock android, and I don't have any battery saver apps installed. I'm thoroughly perplexed as to where it came from. I've tried looking at all my installed apps and I've stopped various processes to see if it disappears, but to no avail. If anyone have any idea where this came from, please help.

K1sso,
It's definitely a 3rd party app.

If the Nexus 7 has a 'Safe mode' (which excludes all 3rd party apps from running) you should try that. Otherwise you'll have to do it the hard way and start uninstalling apps that have 'power' or 'saver' or similar verbiage in the title.

Take a look in your apps for GSam Battery. Also take a screen shot and post it here for SG3 or on Nexus 7 2013 forum

Only ONE battery icon? Nice. I have two.
