Verizon Gear S2 Classic & Note 7 How can I stop the watch from ringing?

I can't figure out how to stop the watch from ringing when I receive a call on the Note 7. Any ideas?

Not sure if you mean temp mute it, that would be by covering the screen with your palm.
I have a different issue, I can't seem to mute my ringer.
All my settings are on vibrate but it still rings.
When I mute it, it still rings.
When I go into airplane mode, it still rings FROM A CALL,
if I additionally mute the phone and all of the above, it still rings,
Anyone else having this issue???

Additionally, I have applied the latest update and factory reset the watch and did not restore from a backup.
Still no fix.....
Btw, I have a classic 3g Verizon model, so it has its own number as well.

I have a Note 7 and an S2 Classic. I turned the "sound mode" on the watch to "vibrate" and my watch never rings.

FWIW, my carrier is at&t but offhand I don't see how that would matter...

But then it does not sound for anything.

My Verizon variant is doing the same thing. Its driving me mad. Im thinking of resetting it and not udpating. And of course my watch rings in the worst time, in meetings smh.

This just plain sucks. Watch works just fine with the S7 edge but rings like mad while connected to the Note 7.
