Verizon getting Samsung Galaxy S II?

I read a lot of articles that GS II is not coming to verizon.. is that still the case?

I also have read some articles where it was mentioned that Verizon will be skipping over the Galaxy S2, in favor of the Google's Phone for IceCreamSandwich (ICS), the 'Nexus Prime'.

Have to wait till October 11, hoping the Samsung's 'Unpacked' event is about the Nexus Prime only.
