I don't think I'm missing anything but has Verizon disabled call forwarding on this device? I use it frequently when I'm in a no service area.

I've checked settings under call and nowhere is there any fwd settings.

Help please :-)

If you were in a no service area, how would the system contact your phone to know to forward the call? It's not a "setting". It's a code that you dial into the system to tell it to forward your calls, but obviously you have to do it while you are in a service area. Something like *73 IIRC.

It's always been a setting on every other phone I've had. Never had to dial out. And I never get service in a particular area so I use the fwd feature to have calls sent to a landline. It always works but thanks for your input :-)

Sorry for misleading you. On my HTC One (AT&T) , that setting is found through Settings > Call> (down near the bottom) Call Forwarding.
But I still think you must set it up in a service area, because if you waited until you were in a no-service area, how would the system know?

Thanks. I just rechecked and still no settings like that :-(

As far as setting it up, I usually do it before I leave my own house (which always has service). I was lucky today but curious how to do this in the future.

I think you can do it from the My Verizon app. Just click on "device" and then scroll down through the various settings at the bottom. One of the choices is call forwarding. You can do it there.

Side note, I'm not used to this new app and for some reason I'm incapable of quoting others responses.
