Any word on when they will release it? I'm considering the M9, or the note 4. Thoughts?

Good question and I am also considering those same two phones.... although once i hear DD on the front it will probably swing me to the M9...

The reveal indicated a mid March launch so it's not too far away.

This might be a dumb question...is there any advantage to buying the m9 directly from HTC.com instead of at a Verizon store? Will it still come with all the Verizon bloatware? Also, I assume I can't use the unlocked version on the Verizon network. Is that correct?

Those 2 are my choice I would definitely get the note 4.

As of right now, I'm strongly considering the Note 4 because of its larger display, and bigger battery. I'm due for an upgrade in about two weeks so if the M9 won't be available until Q2, then the Note 4 seems like the only really good choice for my needs.

The unlocked and Developer addition phones are basically AT&T and European models. They are bloat free.
Sorry, but only T-Mobile customers can use them as long as they are in an area with the same bands.

They probably mean June, I'm sure. Early June though, of course.

June? That's 3 months away. It will begin rolling out here in a couple of weeks and be available starting next month on Verizon (that's what they mean by Q2 2015).

Good luck with timely updates through Verizon. Sprint may not be #1, but they push out the updates for Android practically on time.

Verizon has been doing okay in recent times - they rolled out Lollipop for the S5 before AT&T and just did Lollipop for the M8 today. AT&T users are crying foul. Lol

Thats exactly what they want you to think, until they pull the bait and switch the date like they do on all their phones. I'm on Verizon so I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

The only reason you would want to to buy it from Verizon is so you can get the discount on the cost of the phone.

I received this in an email
