Verizon kit Kat update

I have a Verizon galaxy s4 rooted phone and every time I try to update to the new OS I get an error and it fails the download. Anyone else having this problem or know how to remedy? Thank you

Unroot, reflash stock rom with odin.

Think very hard about taking the update first though. Bye bye root and there is no root method out for 4.4 yet....

It honestly sounds like a pain in the *** do I'm probably gonna steer clear of it. No problems with my current OS and flashing makes me weary sometimes. Thanks, though!

I had the same debate with myself. Read so many conflicting reports about the update but still wanted to see what it was all about. Unrooted and reflashed stock rom so I could take the update, but have since decided to hold off until the kinks are worked out. My phone was really running the best on 4.3 rooted and see no reason to update at this point with so many issues on KK floating around and no root discovered yet.
