Verizon LG G2 - Recovery Obliterated?

I installed ClockworkMod Recovery on my rooted LG G2 through the ROM Manager interface, only to find that rebooting into recovery shows a dead android with its torso opened up. Despite this, ROM manger still insisted that CWM was currently installed. I tried flashing the same recovery image using Flashify, only to find that--when attempting to boot into recovery-- the initial LG boot screen appears briefly, some text flashes in the upper-left corner, and then the device turns off. I did a factory reset to no avail. I imagine I only need a copy of the stock recovery image, and I was hoping someone on this forum might be able to find a link to it, or maybe might know another solution.

To clarify, the phone isn't bricked. Normal boots work; only recovery is gone. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: The device is now performing extremely slowly, to the point that unlocking the lock screen takes so long that the display goes back to sleep.

I finally managed to dig myself out of the hole by entering download mode. Download mode is activated by holding the volume-up key while plugging a live USB cable into the phone, or by having a USB cable already plugged into the phone and plugging the other end into a PC. The LG PC drivers and possibly the LG Mobile Support tool must already be installed to continue the process. Next, there is an LG utility floating around the Interwebs called "FlashTool", including an executable called UpTestEX.exe, that enables Windows users to push a ROM image in *.kdz format to the phone. Be aware that the stock ROM image is approximately 2 GB in size and that this process may purge most/all userspace data. Additionally, you MUST ensure that you're using the correct ROM for your particular flavor of LG G2 . I don't know if the process will work for versions other than Verizon.

To use FlashTool/UpTestEX.exe:
1. The "Select type" field should be "3GQCT"
2. "PhoneMode" should be "DIAG"
3. Click the folder icon next to the "Select kdz file" field and choose the stock ROM image.
4. Click the text "Normal web upgrade test".
5. Click "Upgrade Start".
6. Set location as Republic of Korea, language as English.
7. A status bar should appear in a Window on the PC and another on the phone's screen. They will not be synchronized, but they should steadily fill towards 100%.
8. The phone should eventually reboot into a clean OS, but wait for the PC to indicate successful completion before disconnecting.

And that's it. Now your G2 should be functional again.

Edit: Source is here. However, the instructions for entering download mode are incorrect on that page, at least for the Verizon version of the G2.
