Verizon LG G4 06-30-2015 Update 11A causing Screen Freezing

Has anyone else been having this issues?
I took the Tuesday, June 30th 11A update for my Verizon LG G4 and since that day my phone has been randomly freezing. So far it has frozen six times since yesterday.The phone stays frozen on the screen it was on last and the only way to get the phone working again is by pulling the battery or by holding down the power +volume up and down keys at the same time.
Today I decided to do a master reset on my device thinking it will fix the issue. I did two master reset back to back and the problem still continues I called Verizon and of-course they wanted me to do exactly the same thing I had done and are looking to get me a refurbish replacement. I told them NO, since It still hasn't been a month since purchase this phone . I paid full price for this phone because I am on Unlimited data plan, so the idea of getting a refurbish replacement (inappropriate language edited by Moderator ) sucks. :mad:

This is the first that I have heard of this. Unfortunately if you are past the return period then you would have to settle for potentially refurbished replacements from Verizon. Otherwise you can contact lg and send the device in to them.

Yeah Verizon only gives you 2 weeks to return a phone. Chances are the refurbished one are pretty much new make returns by people that decided the g4 wasn't got them. Unfortunately I haven't heard of any problems since getting the update. I'd say try the refurbished. You have a few days to try it out before you have to send the original back.

Could there be a rogue app that you keep adding to the phone that's causing the freeze? Maybe something about the update along with a rogue app is causing the freeze.
 
The good news is my phone hasn't continued with this issue. It's been 18 hours and it hadn't frozen over night or with 10 hours of on/off used. Right now it's just a waiting game.

That could definitely be a possibility. I've been keeping log of apps that i have used thought-out my day. Thanks for the advise

Did you keep having this problem or did you end up going with the refurbished phone? I've been having a problem that sounds like yous where it freezes and a lot of time the on screen keys go away. If I let it sit for a really long time it seems to clear up, but most of the time I have to pull the battery or hold down lock and hope the shut down/restart options one up.
