I got my Verizon LG G4 this morning via fed-ex and I have to say I'm quite disappointed in how overall laggy it is. Touching apps on the screen sometimes seems to result in delayed opening and just moving around the OS is no where near as fluid as the GS6 or iPhone 6. Not even close. I'm really disappointed. Anyone experiencing this? Anyone have prior experience with the GS6 and iPhone 6 will know what I mean.

I can honestly say also having the S6E & M9 that my G4 is fast n fluid (No lag) what so ever 😀

Ok. Maybe it's just me. You guys all using stock sms and stock keyboard? Those seem the worst to me.

Yeh I'm all stock here dude, i would give it a day or two, but since i received mine from day 1 its been a breeze.

Possible defective unit perhaps that you may have to return.

Yeah, you're right. I'll give it a shot. Maybe it's just first day thing.

Haven't had any lag since getting mine last Friday. I'm using swift key though.

I lagged during setup and when apps were installing...seems fine now!

This.

Give it some time to settle in after installing apps and updates. Also, when you start it up for the first time, several Verizon crapware apps get downloaded and installed (which I immediately delete, and disable the DTIgnite service that allows carriers to install crap). Once you're through that, it gets pretty smooth. I received my Verizon black leather G4 today, and so far am very pleased with it.

You're not crazy, I have the same problem. I'm two months in and its very disappointing. I love everything about this phone other than the lag. Its been this way since day one and no amount of disabling/uninstalling helps. Even swiftkey is very difficult to use because I never know if it registered a key or not. I miss my G2, and I have a feeling a Nexus is in my future.

This fixed, to a point, my lag:

Settings - Developer Options - scroll down to Drawing - Turn off all animations.

If you don't have developer options:
Settings - About Phone - Software infor - tap repeatedly on Build Number
