I can't keep my screen 91st 100% brightness. It always drops it down and says something about keeping it at full brightness makes the phone hotter. Cannes stop this?

You can stop it by turning the display down. 100% back light for long periods will make the display overheat. Nothing you can do other than NOT running it at 100% constantly.

I always have every one of my phones at 100 all the time. Why can't this " new " phone do it

It can. Just ignore the warning and keep turning it up. I get that warming when I turn mine up to 100. But I noticed sometimes it has turned itself down. I think it may be some kind of auto lowering of screen brightness when the phone starts to heat up.

The g4 will not let you set the brightness too high when it is overheating. Otherwise it should let you set 100%. Also during overheat it will automatically reduce brightness.

Try out Lux; you can train it to match your viewing preferences, and you likely won't need it at 100% nearly as much as you think you do.

Also you can combine it with Tasker to have your brightness go to 100% for certain apps. http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=546102
