Verizon Message+ help

I have an iPhone and a Moto Z3. On the iPhone I have set Message+ to the phone number of the Z3 so I can get text messages for that number.
I would like to do the opposite on the Z3 but it doesn’t seem to be possible. Am I missing something?

Well I guess it can’t. But after thinking this through it wouldn’t accomplish what I want anyway as I and the bulk of friends and family use iMessage on their iOS devices and those aren’t available outside of iMessage.
