verizon mifi jetpack & moto g6

This is the 2nd time this has happened with an Android phone.

Currently I have a Moto G6 and a Verizon Jetpack mifi hotspot.
Both communicated with each other flawlessly for about 1 year.

Now the Moto G6 cannot connect to the Jetpack mifi??
It can "see" the mifi... but cannot connect... goes to "saved"
All my 'OTHER' devices (laptop, Ipad, desktop, etc) can connect and use this Jetpack mifi.

The exact same thing happened with my previous Android phone... stopped connecting to this same mifi, after passage of time. Prompting me to purchase a new phone.

How can this be rectified??

I cannot understand how the phones could communicate with the mifi... then stop working... and other devices continue to be able to connect.

What is the problem?

I forgot to mention... Moto G6 can connect to other wifi routers / access points
