I'm assuming the Sony IMX220, but no confirmation anywhere. Also, the promo video makes it seem like it has OIS.

I took some video with my Moto X IMX135 Sony sensor and it appears digital stabilization is quite good. Also looking for confirmation of actual sensor brand and type.

Probably going to have to wait until tomorrow to see more specifics. My guess is the same Sony sensor from the Z phones.

Engadget's preview of the Nexus 6 actually mentioned how much better its camera was. They were probably comparing it to the previous Nexii but it's still something. That's even with Google's stock camera app.

I think an interesting comparison is going to be 4.4.4 camera shots vs 5.0 camera shots with the Turbo. I'm assuming the aforementioned shutter lag will be drastically reduced as well as quality improving. Not too mention RAW capabilities with Lollipop :) I hope Snapseed gets an update to handle RAW photos!

Still looking for the answer. Most likely it is the IMX220, but I still can't find this info anywhere.

Why do people say this? I'd LOVE to think this camera will somehow improve with 5.0, but I just figured it is what it is (smaller aperture, no OIS). Not being confrontational/challenging but sincerely asking if there is a known reason for this speculation.

Camera isn't horrible. BUT I would LOVE to see it get closer to the LG G3 in terms of PQ.
