Ok I dont often post alot here (I do read alot tho), Recently I been unhappy with Verizon in terms of hardware. Ok so there never offered the best phones (maybe for a while, this is certainly based on opinion). The deal is that my contract is up soon and Im itching for a new device. (I plan to buy outright since I am grandfathered in).

Besides the rumored Optimus Vu, what other premium hardware are we expecting from Big Red?. I like the GS3 but not enough to pay a full premium on it knowing that VZ could possibly get the Note 2. The only thing that keeps me patient is the fact that I'm grandfathered in to their unlimited plan but I average about 3-4 GB of data and wouldn't hesitate going to TMO's Walmart $30 plan with 5Gb of data (I know, not quite LTE but it will do).

Do any VZ users feel the same?

Att in my high opinion has the best phones AND alot of international phones use their 3g/hspa+ bands, but I HATE ATT and they are my last option.

I just switched to att my self. I love them so far! Great CS and their network is just fast! (Where I live anyways!) I say go with what works best for your area and the biggest bang for the buck. Keep in mind Tmo is nice is certain cities but after you leave them cities....Well you know the drill! Edge from att or no signal at all!

If you must stay with Verizon and dont care for the S3 I cant see you going wrong with the Note2...Thats if they get it. I mean chances are good that they will. If I was in your shoes I would just get me a S3! I have mine on att and I love it! But I also understand that this phone is not for everyone.

But to help us with an opinion...What phone do you currently have?

I've been off contract with Verizon since last November and am patiently waiting to see if they'll have a true Thunderbolt successor. Really have no interest in their current crop of phones or any other carrier's for that matter. The HTC One X looks great, but the non-removable battery is an absolute deal breaker for me, even if it were available on Verizon. But truthfully, I won't leave Verizon anyway as they provide the best coverage where I live and I still have grandfathered unlimited data (which I'll keep by purchasing next phone at full retail). Anyway, as frustrating as it can be not seeing any good phones yet, I'm content to sit tight with the Thunderbolt (still works great for me!). I’m sure there will be some new stuff coming this fall or early winter. :)

Razr HD and HTC One XL are the other rumored devices.

Currently have a Droid Razr running ICS which is not too bad actually, except terrible battery life. I had a GNex but had connectivity issues with that and grew frustrated about no updates. So i downgraded pending my move to TMO. TMO has great service here in Boston and I dont travel alot and If I do the coverage is good where I go.

The other reason I want to leave also is that fact that I cant justify paying $100+ for Verizon anymore (taxes included) when I can do a lesser plan without contract with Tmo.

Ive had all kinds of phones, Thunderbolt, Droid X, Droid, Gnex, Droid Razr, iPhone 4/4S. But there hasn't been anything that blows my mind recently. Maybe the Note 2 will come and Ill change my mind we will see....cant wait for the August 29th Samsung Event.

The last year has seen the DROID Bionic, DROID RAZR, Rezound, Galaxy Nexus, DROID 4, DROID RAZR MAXX, Galaxy S III, & DROID Incredible 4G LTE - pretty solid lineup. There was a pretty big gap between the Maxx and the S III, timeline-wise. But I'm glad that was the case. Slowing it down ends up being good for consumers.

Unless Samsung is building the next Nexus, I don't want to see another high-end Samsung for Verizon this year (okay, maybe Christmas time).

Unless Verizon accepts a One X-style phone, I don't want to see another high-end HTC for Verizon this year (okay, maybe Christmas time).

Motorola has the rumored RAZR HD in the pipeline and I hope that's it for Motorola on Verizon this year.

Apple is releasing a new iPhone soon.

Plus the rumors of Windows Phone 8 devices coming to Verizon by the end of the year.. .

LG, Pantech - sorry, they're not relevant.

Right. But to ME the Droid Devices just arent good enough, the Bionic? had one and it sucked big time, terrible phone. Rezound was too thick and ugly. I can care less about the Droid 4. The Razr Maxx, GS3 and original Razr are the only phones that call my attention. Also the DINC 4G LTE is too small for me now since i got used to the Galaxy Nexus Screen.

Your right tho about LG and Pantech. Im hoping they show me some WP8 devices. At the end ATT has VZ beat when it comes to Hardware. Anyways I should stop complaining since I will be dropping VZ next month to go the Prepaid/International GS3 way.

Had a day 1 Motorola DROID for almost two years. I've had this day 1 Motorola DROID Bionic for almost a year. No issues.

The Rezound has one of the best screens available on a mobile phone. It's one of the most underrated phones ever.
