verizon: new customer perks?

Sorry for starting a new thread, would like to call upon your experience and expertise. I'm new to verizon, been on sprint and tmobile as of late, so i was wondering if verizon generally gives out special offers to new customers... wondering if i can milk them for some perks before locking into a 2 yr on the TB.

does anybody know if this is something verizons retention unit will usually go along with?

Some will give away free equipment and I don't even know if VZW has an activation fee. I've never paid one, so I would say you shouldn't either. I think it heavily relies on the store though and what their policies/goals are. The best you thing you could do is go in and ask. Say you're looking at one of the other carriers and VZW. What do you guys have that's better and why should I switch?

The activation fee will be included in the first monthly bill.

thanks for the input, will definitely try to get that activation waived... maybe even try to get them to match sprint's 125 credit

I don't think there is much room to negotiate with them but I do always recommend and say to family and friends "it can't hurt to ask."

I would definately try if I were in your shoes. (been with them long).

If you go online the Activation fee is typically waived. The only way you might get a bill credit like Sprint is giving is if you have a employee discount that gives a credit when you sign a 2 year contract. Not all employee discounts have this credit, but some do.
