Verizon Note 4 and Android Auto

I have a Verizon Note 4 running version 5.0.1. Thinking of replacing my old receiver in my car with an Android Auto equipped system. I have read tons of issues with compatibility depending on the phone. Does anyone have any experience with a Note 4 and Android Auto, good or bad?

A buddy had Android Auto with his S5 and loved it. Don't know about the Note 4 but assume it should work just fine.

Get a radio that has an hdmi input. Mhl works 1000% better than mirrorlink. Most kenwoods have HDMI. I made the mistake of a pioneer and mirrorlink use useless on 90% of phones
