Verizon October update

It was on my phone this morning, but I'm not sure what exactly it did.

When I read this last night I checked (I'm on Verizon) and saw the October patch was available so I took it. Don't see much difference. It did say 'release 12' but when I clicked on the 'learn more' link it only shows release notes up through 'release 11'. Also, when the dialog box comes up it kept flickering like it was trying to be larger and be recentered but kept bouncing back to it's original size, so it looked like it was flickering.

These two things show some carelessness that is disturbing - I was worried I might brick my phone hone if I took I t. But all seems to be well.

And when did Verizon start assigning release numbers? I've never seen that before...

No issues loading or installing. Did a cache partition afterwards, as usual, phone performing like a champ after almost fourteen months of very heavy use.

My update screen is bouncing too. To the point where I can't even accept the download. I've never seen anything like this. How did you get it to download?

Pressed the back or home button and then go back to it through the notification - problem went away but dialog box seemed smaller. Just a minor bug in their install app dialog box code.

I got it to work by getting it from the notification shade.

AR Emoji is trash. Esp for the Note8.

Anyone else experiencing major phone lag after the update? I haven't installed any other software in some time, and numerous apps seems to lock up, or lag out. For example, the messenger will show a blank page when hitting on the message notification (when it actually still shows). I'm forced to close the app and restart. Other apps, like a few games, are just locking up.

AR Emoji is trash. Esp for the Note8.

I wouldn't say trash but, the Note 8 wasn't given full functionality of the AR EMOJIS app. We are limited to 5 sets of Emojis and we don't have the video capability. I guess Sammy's not giving us what's on the S9 and Note 9 for free.

Yeah my phone, especially the default messaging app was crap for a few days after the update. All's well now after a few weeks post update.
