Verizon open enrollment for extended warranty /insurance (Asurion)

For those looking to add protection plans, you can do so until September 15th during open enrollment. Normally you can only add it within a month of buying a new device. The article below lists only tmp, but I was able to add any option. The insurance might or might not be worth it depending on your needs but for those on affected bootloop g4's out of warranty or near out of warranty, you can add extended warranty for $3/mo, no deductible on claims for manufacturing defects.

Keep in mind that the $3 extended warranty doesn't cover loss, theft of or damage. You would need wpp (or tec) for that, and that has a deductible

Also bear in mind that if your phone gets physically damaged, lost or stolen, you cannot add insurance after the fact.

Correct, only extended warranty covers pre existing conditions, and only in certain states
 
Thanks for the heads-up. My G4 is a 505, and hasn't boot looped...yet. I think I'll take advantage of the open enrollment.
