Verizon Pixel 2 Replacement

Should be receiving my Pixel 2 (nonXL) replacement today through Verizon.

I have had the buzz/click/hiss phone calls since day one and after reading users getting 8.1 and it not being fixed I decided to make it a hardware issue. Also I have minimal apps (mostly google) on my phone and battery life has been horrendous.

Concerns hopefully someone here can answer.

1. How can I find out if what I get is a refurbished unit?

2. Anyone else replace through Verizon after speaker issue. Was it resolved when you got your new device?

This forum is awesome BTW I'm so glad I found it after being an iPhone junkie for the last 10 years.
 
At THIS point you are likely to get a brand new unit, HOWEVER I don't believe you will be able to tell. Additionally Verizon has the right to replace your defective phone with a refurbished phone.
 
Thanks. I do understand that the big red check mark can do whatever they decide. I just hate to get a unit that isn't new after having this one only being a month old.
