Just curious if anyone knows if Verizon has pre-paid plans for Android tablets like they do on the iPad, where you pay like $30 when you want to, and get a couple of GB w/tethering for a month? (Esp the Galaxy Note 8.0.) I called up their sales #, and the lady I talked to didn't seem to have a clue one way or the other.
And because I know somebody is probably gonna ask, 'Why go for an LTE tablet when you can tether off your phone?' Because I'm on my parents' family plan on AT&T, which works great where I live. But when I go visit family out in the sticks, AT&T doesn't work so great there. Plus, I work from home and sometimes when my internet goes down, I'd like to have a hotspot I can use without worrying about whether my carrier is going to make a fuss about it. And I ain't paying $60 a month for one of Verizon's LTE hotspots
An LTE tablet seems like a good way to go, since I'm getting a tablet anyway.
