Verizon Preferred Network Mode? Global or CDMA/LTE?

My phone prompted me to choose Global today. I've never been asked to choose this before. Is there a preference among Verizon customers? Is any better than the other? FYI, I'm in the United States and very rarely travel internationally.

I'm using lte/CDMA, also on Verizon. No problems so far.

I was told somewhere that it may save a bit of battery turning off global but I think that only helps in low signal areas when it has to keep hunting for signal. In any case I set mine lte/cdma only.

I've always used CDMA/LTE selection on every device and never had issues. FWIW, when trying the GLOBAL mode it seems it drops a bar or two. In any case Global is mainly for international traveling use, works here but not necessary.

Right. You only need global when going internationally on Verizon.
