I'm using my Google Store Nexus6 on Verizon.
When I put my Verizon Sim in, it did its thing.
Everything works fine.
Today I noticed where my Note2 would drop down to 3G, my Nexus6 stayed on LTE, but could barely load a web page. So I went into Cellular Settings and noticed the Preferred Network Type was set to Global. I changed it to LTE/CDMA and now my Nexus drops to 3G but webpages are loading okay now.
Just wondering if Global was just the phone's default setting.

I've had my note 4 and nexus 6 on both settings, haven't noticed a difference either way. Hopefully someone with knowledge of what the setting actually does will chime in.

I just read through the first page if Google results in the question as well. Many people asking over the past few years, no solid answers.
