Verizon Price Increase

I am or was about to get a Galaxy Tab because Costco, Best Buy, and Verizon all had it for $399 with one month activation very briefly. Now Costco is completely out of them and say it will only have the Xoom this week. And the Price is back to $499 plus one month at Verizon and Best Buy.

I am getting my wife a Nook Color as she already loves Nook and is demanding it. But I cant justify paying double for a Tab. The $150 difference was fine.

I am usually cool with eBay but prefer to buy this from a place I will have support.

Any thoughts on the increase? And is there any place to get up to date information pricing plans and data packages? The carriers sites are impossible to easily get answers. I have my Dinc rooted and was going to tether to my tab so I prefer not to get a data plan, but if one is cheap enough I may do it.

Thanks

Z

Verizon's price has always been $499. Costco had it for $399 so they could clear out stock. My girlfriend's uncle works for Costco and informed me of this. The price hasn't gone up, its just that Costco is out of stock and haven't removed the Tab from their website.
