Does anyone here have a sense of whether or not Verizon will get more 512GB editions? How do these things usually go? Am I wasting my time waiting? Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.

Yeah, that's not good when samsung drops the 512 version like that for the ones that get them. You can't get replacements for them when you have issues. That was why assurion gave me a check for $1,500 when my S20U was claimed on, they couldn't replace it and at that time there was no better to upgrade me to.

I planned on getting the 512 version of the fold 3 if they have it, but samsung dropping the 512 so soon gives me concern. If samsung is going to take the SD card slot away, they need to support and produce the 512 version as long as the other versions.

Never understand why this happens? exactly the same thing happened with the 512gb S20 Ultra last year, it's obvious it's very in demand especially with them ditching the SD card.

There appears to be a shortage of semiconductors, worldwide, as this announcement from Samsung, today, makes clear...

"the company is considering skipping the introduction of a Galaxy Note smartphone in 2021 due to a “serious imbalance” in semiconductors globally, meaning there is a higher demand for chips than there is a supply."

My opinion.. the note is going away permanently. The note sells more then the fold, so why kill the more popular note for the fold?

My opinion, delay the one that sells less

They are going with the one they think has a brighter future. It seems like all of their main devices will be s pen capable
The question I'm more concerned with is are they going to have the Spen embedded inside the phone for storage or are they going to screw it up and have as an accessory like the S21U. Let's not forget the Spen for the note is superior to the one in the S21U. For the note, if they keep making it, and the fold the Spen needs to be embedded in the phone, if they are accessories then for me the Spen is dead, and maybe samsung. Samsung is getting for me to much like apple that the door is opening little by little for me to at least be watching what apple is doing and who knows maybe take a step in and try it out.

Yes, I think samsung is going to push the folding phones and I think there's a future for them if they get the price point down. I'll cough the extra money for now to play with the high tech, but for how long, I don't know. Yearly Upgrade might go away at current price point. The note is by all means a good phone at a lower price, and doing yearly updates that makes a difference.
