Verizon S3: External Bluetooth speaker

After the 4.3 update I am having bluetooth issues. My headset works fine. It is set for phone audio and works perfect. I also have a BT speaker, the phone will connect to it. The speaker is set for Media, but when listening to media the sound only comes form my phone. In fact it only comes out of the ear piece. Even without bluetooth I can't listen to media through the speak on the back of the phone.

I can't listen to media through the speak on the back of the phone.

I'm listening to music on the speaker of the phone as I type this; it's Factory Reset time, along with clearing the system cache in Recovery mode.
