I am travelling to the UK and was wondering if anyone on this board have had success swapping out the VZ SIM with a SIM card in the UK. I read that my S5 is unlocked so should be no issues there. If it did work, what other settings did you have to set to make it work. Thanks a lot!

Adjust the APN settings for whatever carrier you get a sim for and should work fine.

Your Verizon carrier minority variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5, G900V, is for Verizon's old CDMA network but should work on most U.K. and European GSM networks on 2G and 3G but not on 4G/LTE I am afraid. See, Will My Phone Work?. Any features that are linked to Verizon's network will, of course, not function with a different carrier's sim card.

Thanks all. Yes, I have the SAMSUNG-SM-G900V model and I entered my information into the Will My Phone Work website. Sounds like I buy the SIM card in the UK and swap in this SIM card and it should work. Then I go to More networks | Mobile networks | Access Point Names to select the UK carrier.
