Verizon S7 Edge cracked in bottom corner....out of nowhere?

Hello all, I've had plenty of devices both recently being two Note 7's that were kept flawless and I ended up with an S7 edge after the recall but now I have a major issue that is driving me insane. I went out with my phone Monday while talking on it and I put it in my pocket once I got in my car. About an hour later when I reached in to change albums I noticed a gigantic crack on it between the home and back button. Obviously Samsung will I dropped it but I never dropped this device and it has been in an otterbox since the day of purchase







Now I've always taken GREAT care of all my devices and I've seen online where the S6 edges had complaints of spontaneous cracks but I really hate to just say the phone cracked by itself.

I live bout two hours from the Samsung Service Centers in North Jersey and NY but can't get anyone on the phone so I can't get a price. Has anyone ever went through Samsung to get their device fixed?
