Verizon s8 plus Wi-Fi issues

So ever since I got the update from Verizon on my s8 plus I am having Wi-Fi issues. When I connect to the 2.4 ghz network every 30 seconds I get the dqa has stopped error. I have gone in and forced stopped the app and it still pops up every 30 seconds. So when I switch to the 5 ghz network the error no longer pops up and Wi-Fi is ok for a while. Then randomly my Wi-Fi will lose internet connection but not lose actual connection. I know this is related to this phone only because I have 20 other things in the house connected to Wi-Fi with no issues including my wife's note 5 and my iPad. Anybody got any ideas ?
