Has anyone else noticed the Fascinate is missing from the Verizon smartphone (shopping) page. Yesterday it was out of stock. Today it is gone!

I think the larger issue is the software update that effectively made a bunch of Fascinates unusable (mine included). Verizon is having to eat the cost of replacing these phones (I would argue it is software related so Samsung shares blame) so why not take it down.

As for the Galaxy S2 I was all over that bad boy, until my experience with the Fascinate and the Charge that I'll detail in another post :'(.

I guess I have been lucky, I've flashed the heck out of this device with stock and non-stock Roms with no problems! Okay, I've had a couple of boot loops and soft bricks but nothing beyond repair. Sorry to hear you are sour on Sammy.

Fascinate owners are starting to wonder if the manufacturing date has something to do with the device having issues or not. Can you tell us the version and date of your Fascinate? It is located on the sticker under the battery.

Thanks,

Tim

When I was in the verizon store getting my droid charge ordered I was chatting with the employee and she said they weren't selling them anymore because of the problems they had. Not sure exactly when they stopped selling them in my store though.

My phone runs fine. Never noticed missed calls except when reception was nonexistent. It does make you wonder if it was a hardware issue from different batches or factories. Samsung Galaxy S 2 is going to be a BEAST. Hope Verizon opts for the haptic buttons again to keep it thin.

I haven't had any issues with it that weren't my fault.
