Verizon samsung galaxy 3 pin lock question

I just received my beautiful new galaxy s3 and have set up my phone with a PIN number for access. But how would I know if someone has tried to access my device? I know if more then 5 attempts are made it will wipe out my data. But for instance if someone just makes one or two attempts, will I receive some type of notification???

There might be some type of app you could get that would notify you, but, your phone wont do this stock.
