So in my hands is my sgs3 looking for the s-beam or the nfc app. What am I missing. I have ndc turned on in the settings.

I don't think that is the case, since s-beam is the very first feature listed on the VZW product page for the SGS3. Google Wallet does not work, but AFAIK, NFC is supposed to. I believe others have said you could even get Tectiles (Samsung NFC tags) from VZW, though I could not find them online.

EDIT: Confirmed, NFC is in the VZW SGS3 manual.

I won't have mine until Monday, but from the demos I've seen you tap the backs of two GS3's to initiate the s-beam.

Thanks guys, so it's not an app I'm looking for. It just has to be enabled and then come in contact with a NFC chip. Right?
