Yep got it. Took about 15 minutes and really took a long time for my phone to restart at one point! Made me a little nervous but it eventually completed just fine

Yes, it took me along time too. It was on the Verizon loading screen for 10 minutes and I thought it was stuck

Your phone doesn't use Android?

The moto z force I own updated to android 7 with no problems. And my lg v20, like everyone else's, runs android 7.0 out of the box. Yesterdays Verizon update just updated it to the November 1st security update.

I checked this morning, and I get the same speeds as I used to before the update.

Verizon doesn't throttle on usage. For unlimited or tiered.

Before the update, I noticed occasionally the second display would seem to always change back to the quick shortcuts screen over time, even if I left it on a different screen. I think that was fixed after the update, looks like it is always staying on the screen I have it on. Might be just me tho...

That is a new feature they put in to help with people getting overages -- If someone has this then yes that would make sense but I doubt Verizon would intentionally gimp their LTE speeds on an update.

Update Involves VPN settings... whatever that means, and it was seamless for me, no biggie.

Got the update yesterday. Everything went accordingly.

That 2nd screen...If you drag an app to it (Spotify, sms, email, settings, etc.) means you can access the entire device without going through a security code or password pattern. I don't know if that was any part of it but usually new devices get a barrage of updates the first month or two
