Verizon SGS3 shipping BEFORE 7/9 according to Verizon

I just had an online chat on the verizon website. The chat rep said it would ship before 7/9!

Shipping "early" isn't too uncommon. When Verizon finally got the iPhone (4), I pre-ordered one for my wife. It arrived earlier than expected.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do ship early. Pretty much every phone that has a preorder usually comes in a day or two before the release in store. Otherwise there is not really any point in preordering if you can get one in store the same time as a preorder.

I hate to be cynical, but it is apparent to me that the July 9 date is there days after the one month cut off for double data. I think they are using that date just to discourage people From buying a phone under contract, then returning it at the end of the contract and getting a GS3.

Well June 28th is looking like a good date. It's a Thursday and Verizon loves Thursdays, and best buy is getting them in on the 28th, most likely Verizon will be shipping pre orders from the 28th to July 9th then will let non pre orders buy

So, do we need to start comparing order numbers to see who is going to get theirs first? I put my order in at 7:20 AM EST so I have to be somewhere near the front of the line.

Took a while to place the order but it was a smooth ride. I had to have an upgrade xferred. All in all painless, minus the waiting. I don't like waiting.
