Verizon is working on a new loyalty program that seems to deal with the purchasers of Android devices.

If they offer whenever upgrades on Android devices, meaning a removal of the demand that criteria be met (e.g. having 18 months of service before upgrading), they will most certainly accomplish the apparent goal of retaining the customers who purchased Android products in addition to hijacking customers from AT&Trash (AT&T), Speedwalk (Sprint), and D0uche Telekom (T-Mobile).

I would think that seeing that VZW puts so much weigh behind it's Droid line of products that a Droid Loyalty program would have specifics that restrict it to the Droid line of products only. Besides, it would only be fair that VZW offers some kind of extra incentive to buy the Droid line of products considering the ridiculous amount of bloatware that they put on them.

I'll never buy another bloated VZ phone again. I'm one month past my 2 year point and the only thing that will keep me a VZ customer is a pure Google Nexus phone. And even that won't work if it hit's Tmobile or Sprint first. Alas, VZ doesn't give a rat's backside about people like us.

Neat, I'm looking forward to hearing more about this. I'm a pretty loyal customer (not just to Verizon) and I like to be taken care of. So, I'm curious to hear more about this. The speculated trade in program mentioned is interesting, but, I'd hope it'd be more than that.

Drrroooiiiddd! That is why I am triple sick. Had enough of locked bloated phones. Yuck. If the droids were like the OG (I think the Prime will be close and well) then cool, but 90% of the Verizon droids are not what I call winners.

Oh, I like my X2. I agree my phone has too much bloat, but, don't all phones come with lotsa bloat? And of course I wish I could remove it, but, it's not a huge deal for me. And I don't feel like rooting, so, I can deal. Haha.

It really isn't to big a deal. People on here freak so hard about a carrier app on their phone. Good for you keeping it real.

Haha, I find it best to get worked up as little as possible in life. Keeping your cool gets you more. I assume with how many posts you have on here you root anyway, so, I'm sure you have no bloat issues, hehe.

Always root! I haven't with the SGS yet, as it just runs so well and does everything I want for now. I wonder how long that will last he he. MIUI on my X is really cool. Looks like the Droid X2 gets a killer update. I post way to much on here. I am a little addicted to cell phone tech. I NEED to stop! ha ha ha.

Yea, I figured, haha. I have not rooted because I break phones and have the insurance. Yea, I'm excited for my X2 to get it's update. Hahaha, yea, I can see that. I can't blame you, it is intoxicating.

Actually I believe they said F*** loyal customers when they introed the $30 upgrade fee and cut NE2 program. And will put an exclamation on the sentiment with the family shared data plan (aka grandfathered unlimited data killer).

Yes Verizon has a loyalty plan.
Verizon has sworn to remain Loyal to wringing every penny possible from the consumer, to provide untimely delayed updates and to show a total disregard for communication with it's customers.

A small surcharge of $2 monthly will be added to your bill to support a training program for all corporate level employees to make sure this program is successful.
