Verizon UDP on DPP

I have DPP now and when I try to pay the phone off and upgrade it says I need to pick a new plan. Is this ok? Do I just throw the sim away and I’m good and use old one so that the plan doesn’t switch over? Thanks.

The plan is in Verizon's database and if you have to switch plans it's going to switch your current SIM to that plan. (Unless they sent you a new SIM - in that case, hold on to the new SIM and when the phone stops working, put the new SIM in.)

Are you trying to upgrade to a 5g phone? Other than that it shouldn't ask you to change your plan. I definitely wouldn't go through with it if it says the plan would be changing as it will take you off your old plan regardless of Sim swap.
