Hey everyone,

I've been a Nexus user for a few years and am thinking about jumping ship to the V10. I've been out of the "buy a phone from a carrier" game for a while and a lot has changed since the last time I did it. I plan to move to Verizon when I buy the phone so I'm slightly annoyed that it's coming out on other carriers first. Here are my questions:

- Is it typical for Verizon to launch these phones later than other carriers? I feel like they are probably obligated to keep the focus on the new Droid phones for a couple days, but I find it strange that they would put themselves at a disadvantage in terms of not even allowing pre-orders yet.

- Is there any way to got a version of this phone that isn't locked to a single carrier? My last several phone purchases (for myself and for family) all came through the Google Store. I don't really care about the physical branding on the phone, just whether it could work on other carriers if it had to.

- For you big LG fans, do you expect that the new Watch Urbane 2 will be launched soon and perhaps be packaged in a deal with the V10? They were being marketed together so I'm a little surprised that they aren't being launched together.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I don't think I've ever seen an Android Wear watch bundled with a phone before, by anyone. But I suppose it could happen.

As far as buying unlocked, you might be able to find some units on Amazon, but they likely won't work on Verizon. Unfortunately only Google and Apple make unlocked phones that have CDMA radios as well as GSM that work on Verizon's network.

The Motorola X Pure Edition is also an Unlocked phone that is fully compatible with Verizon.
