Verizon variant back cover has scuffs already

I have the Verizon G2, and after 36 hours in my possession, there are already slight scuffs and marks on the back, specifically towards the corners where the phone lies on the table. I have not dropped, mishandled, or even placed this phone down onto any surface with any type of excessive force. I am really worried that the back is going to wear down quickly, which has me even more interested in a TPU-style case. I just messaged Diztronic asking if they plan to sell a Verizon version of their matte black case. Is anyone else noticing this?

I just tried to look for scratches on the back of mine (no case) but all I see is fingerprints. Not trying to be funny just telling the truth. By the way I still love the phone!

I didn't notice until I used a microfiber cloth on the back, so I can see how the fingerprint magnet could hide it.
