Maybe I'm off my rocker, but is there a chance that the Verizon version of this phone is different from the version carried by other US carriers? I know that it is not uncommon for Verizon to trail others in phone launches, but could this be something else?
1. Prior to the pre-order phase, there was speculation of some sort of exclusivity that Verizon held. This has since been proven to be untrue.
2. There is surprisingly little 'insider' information coming from people within Verizon. With a launch of this magnitude, one would think that someone would know something. With other launches, I seem to remember more information being available for other launches.
3. In another thread, there have been suggestions regarding a 'big announcement' coming from Verizon.
If we are supposed to get the same version of the phone as Canadian carriers, why the delay? The phones are clearly available. Is there a remote possibility that we could be getting a different version? Is there any reason that the Korean version could not be made to work with Verizon's LTE network?
So, what are your thoughts on this? Should I break out the tin foil hat?
Either way, I'll be happy with my S3; something just seems off to me.
