Verizon voicemail set up notification after kit kat 4.4.4?

Anyone know how to stop the constant Verizon visual voicemail set up notification after the 4.4.4. Update? I use Google voicemail so Verizon voicemail wants me to sign in and set it up and won't stop popping up in my notifications.

Having the same problem on my Galaxy S5..... looking thru a few threads and nothing seems to work. May be a VZW glitch....

I put my experience with this in another thread. I had it too, and it seems like a Verizon thing to get you to buy their visual voice mail. I tried to opt out by refusing the free trial, but they didn't get the memo and sent me a few anyway. Three were sales "calls," and the two phone calls that went to my voice mail, they sent a visual voicemail of them and they were both so garbled that it made no sense and I had to call my voice mail to get it straightened out. And I had to use *86. Pffffft.

I signed up for the 30 day free trial and then went online into my account and switched to basic visual, it knocked out the premium. No more notifications. Don't get a lot of vm, but the ones I received seemed ok.
