Just read this article here on Android Central:

http://www.androidcentral.com/verizon-wants-monitor-your-web-habits-if-bothers-you-opt-out

I have the Motorola Xoom with 3G/4G (Xoom currently in-transit after the 4G LTE upgrade). I do not have a data plan and only use the wireless network capability to connect. I'm unable to create a Verizon account without a # in order to opt out.

So is Verizon still able to track or monitor my web habits based on serial number or some other unique identifier?

Should I call Verizon and request to be manually opt'd out?

Thanks

I opted out of Location Based Services ("LBS") Privacy Settings and Relevant Mobile Advertising. It's non of their business where I go on the internet or what i do once I get there.

They should be required to ask us to opt into these in the first place, instead of being allowed to just include us automatically. Honestly if it wasn't for this post I wouldn't have known about it.
