XLTE is a marketing term for faster LTE. There is no indicator for this. You will just have to check Verizon's website for markets covered, or do a speed test.
Search for XLTE Verizon and you will see it specifically mentions that there are no indicators. You need a phone that has 1700 MHz capability, and the Verizon site will let you search for phones with this built in.
