Nothing new about it. That's been going on whenever I connect my phone to my PC ever since I got it.

Mine did this on day one, 7/16 it is the motorola software that comes on the virtual cd-rom that the X emulates when connected. Fixed it by right-clicking the M in the tray and disabling autostart.
Yeah, it is still stupid that they are doing that, I can see having a pop-up maybe for the first day to introduce their service offerings then never doing it again, but coming from the company that thinks it is a good idea to force Bing with no other options on most of its users, I wasn't surprised in the least. Stuff like this is expected from them.
I really hope that other carriers would catch up and have as good or better network. Vzw is in need of real competition. Until then I doubt they will listen to their users and ruduce the crap a few hundred needed notches.
