Very weak vibration?

I've been using my new Pixel 10 Pro for the last 2 weeks while on my road trip and I've noticed the haptic vibration motor seems very weak. When I ran the diagnostics for the vibration motor it vibrated really strong but for keyboard taps, notifications, etc when I try to adjust their vibration strength all the levels feel identical. I've turned off the Adaptive Vibration but that didn't help. I also tried setting all the vibration sliders to off, rebooting the phone, then turned the sliders up to full with no change.

Anyone else noticing weak vibration?

I just got my 10 Pro a few days ago and haven't noticed a difference from my 9 Pro XL ... I'll have to pay attention.

May be slightly related, but what kind of case are you using? Is it one you've previously used on other phones?

I bought the Spigen for Pixel 10/10 Pro Case from Amazon. I really like the case, as it has a strong magnetic ring on the back and doesn't collect fingerprints.

Well, I've spent almost all day chatting with Google Gemini AI for suggested setting changes to fix the weak haptic vibration. I've concluded that you can't configure the Pixel 10 to use a stronger vibration pulse or longer duration with the built-in settings. The haptic sensor can produce a strong vibration, but the OS settings won't let you set a stronger vibration.

So, the answer was to use a 3rd party app called BuzzKill where I can specify custom vibration patterns and intensity which are much stronger than what you can do with stock Pixel. So, I went that route to solve my weak vibration issue. Maybe Google will fix this in an upcoming OS update.

Was wondering if perhaps the case was causing the vibration to feel weaker ... It was a long shot, but seems like you found a "solution" in your last post.

This app looks very intriguing! Thanks for posting a follow up with your fix. Hate that a third party app is needed, but at least you found a potential solution.

I may have to give this app a try ... who doesn't like more control over notifications?!

I ran the diagnostic mode for the phone with the case on and it buzzed pretty firmly so I knew it wasn't a hardware issue. You just can't turn up the intensity or duration of the vibration pulse from the Pixel's settings.
