Very weird caller ID issue

This one is bizarre. When someone calls me, even though they're in my contact list with a name, the caller idea voice will call out "Call from one million five hundred thousand......".

So in effect, it's reading out an entire phone number as if it's a total number rather than saying "call from 515-565-....". Additionally, I'm not hearing the name called out either.

Anyone have ideas on this? You can disengage the voice notification, but that really doesn't solve the problem.

OK guys, found the issue and in an effort to help others that this might happen to, it's a simple fix. Under Sound>Voice Notifications>Voice notifications language>LG TTS+

What I think I may have done was to switch it to Google voice. Google voice reads phone numbers as total numbers (5 billion, four hundred million....). My wife and I were hysterical listening to this. Of course it gave her an opportunity to say "see, IPhones are so much easier". Oh brother. :)

My only remaining 'problem' is that it's not calling out the name of the caller, just the number. Not a major deal, but I think my GS3 did call out the name.

I'm having a problem with my Caller ID, yet it's totally different.

I got my LG G2 about two weeks ago and Caller ID was working fine until the other night. Now, it's not working. Every time someone calls, I get either "Private" or "Unknown" showing up on my Caller ID, even if it's from one of my contacts. The Caller ID works just fine when I'm sending or receiving text messages, or when a voice mail is left on my phone. The ONLY time it's NOT working is when I'm RECEIVING calls! For the record, my wife's Samsung Galaxy S4 doesn't have ANY problem receiving Caller ID.

I brought my phone to a Sprint store about seven miles up the road, explained the issue, and they made some calls to the phone. The Caller ID worked. I had some contacts call my phone while I was in front of the Sprint store and again, the Caller ID worked. I've spoken to numerous Sprint employees on their Customer Service line regarding this issue and they've all said there isn't a network problem. Could this be an issue with my phone? My "two week return period" is up tomorrow. I don't wanna get stuck with a BRAND NEW phone that doesn't work.

Hello, were you ever able to get this resolved? I'm having the exact same issues with my new LG G2. Depending on which cell tower my phone hits, I'll either get UNKNOWN on my Caller ID (even if it's a person from my contact list) or it will actually work like it should. I called Sprint and they opened a ticket up, but I'm not very confident it will be resolved. My exchange period runs out in a couple of days and like you I don't want to be stuck with a phone where the Caller ID doesn't work most of the time (particularly now that I can get a Galaxy S4 for free). I assume it's a carrier issue, but I haven't seen anywhere on the internet where anyone has given a resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
