Viber not working well

I have a Galaxy S3 that I only use on WiFi, not as a phone. I have installed the latest updates to the phone so that is fine. The main issue is that sometimes the texts aren't sending, and voice messages, when received on the other side, sound kind of jilted and distorted. I uninstalled and reinstalled Viber, but it's worse than it was before. Sometimes I am getting the no connection message either even though my WiFi is fine here. Help!

I would suggest resetting the wifi router and clearing the cache of the device or factory resetting. Hopefully that helps.
