Everytime I try to download something off internet(apk files, zip files , video, etc.) It says file type not allowed, how can I fix this, or what app can download and open files

Download Astro File Manager to look through the files in your SD card. You'll see a file called "download" and that's where everything is stored when you dl something form the internet. If you're gonna install an apk, make sure that you have "unknown sources" checked in the Application settings.

Thanks, but that I know, but as im trying to download it says file type not recognized, and wont download at all, never get the chance to open in astro

Just a suggestion....

Check to make sure "Unknown Sources" is enabled.

Press Menu>Settings>Applications
