Vibrant launch Feb 23rd with 2.3. . . Fascinate port to soon follow?

I saw on the main page the Vibrant 4G was rumored to ship with Gingerbread aka android v2.3. If this is the case would it be possible to use this version of Gingerbread to port over Gingerbread to the Fascinate?

Different radio technology. If that were the case, we would have had 2.2 and 2.3 a long time ago

I wonder if this means we're going to be getting 2.3 instead of 2.2? Or does the vibrant already have 2.2?

This has nothing to do with the Fascinate... And that is for the Vibrant 4G, not the regular Vibrant
