I had my 3 problems with 3 Nexus Ones, but mark my words I know it is a great phone

I went to Sprint until I had horrific problems and had the EVO

I want:

Either the Nexus ONE OR Samsung Vibrant

Nexus One Pros: Nice Screen, get Froyo Immediately, Get Gingerbread at end of year, feell like a brick Cons: is .3" smaller than the Samsung, lacks the square feel (even tho the corners are round) of the Sammy and HTC phones have, the color is horrific, have to convert video filetypes to be played, more money

Samsung Vibrant Pros: Excellent camera, EVen better screen Super Amoled, very pretty, square edged I like, 4.0" screen I like and plays more filetypes, costs less

CONS: Not very sturdy especially on the back, will NOT get Froyo at least in the beginning, likewise with Gingerbread. NO flash

Could someone please help me decide what to do by voicing their opinion on these two at Tmobile only

I do know that the Hummingbird processor is said to be better, but with Froyo is is not true necessarily

Can anyone help? Thanks so much

The only thing that is making me second guess wanting to get the Vibrant is the Samsung UI. I really like the specs and think its a great looking phone, but i really wish it had the standard Android UI.

The one thing that makes me like it...is people like you who were kind enough to post their basic opinion which is what I needed in hopes of helping me out.

Thanks

Well if everything that is happening over at xda happens, you have be able to have froyo (CM6) on your phone by this time next week. I would say go with the Vibrant, but then again I am trying to head the dev community for it

I just picked up a Vibrant for 260 on ebay and I think I'll be able to sell my N1 for more than that. I always use custom ROMs anyway, and now that the nexus S is basically a galaxy S phone, I am assuming over the next several months the galaxy s phones will have better gingerbread ROMs than the N1. Am I a moron?

Go with the vibrant 2.1 is great and you can upgrade memory but no flash. The nexus s is heavy as a brick and no memory upgrade that done it for me.

I would also go with the Vibrant.

Although I have never used the Nexus ONE I am pleased with my Vibrant overall. In some ways its a better phone for my tastes than even the Nexus S (ie micro SD expansion). So therefor I'm sure I prefer the experience of the Nexus ONE.

I think you'd be pleased with your Vibrant even if updates are slow. Don't worry about Samsung's annoying TouchWiz UI. Using LauncherPro I was able to get rid of those annoying colors and have a much more "Pure Google" look to the phone. It's really easy and you don't have to root either if thats not for you.

Between the Nexus One and the Vibrant I would recommend the Vibrant!!

OH! And after being an avid Blackberry user for years I was scared to go without the camera flash but it literally hasn't been a problem for me yet after about four months of use. In fact I use my camera as my regular point and shoot because the pictures come out very well!
