Is there a way to change the vibration pattern on the stock messaging app?

Anyone have any ideas? The app Custom Vibration Pattern was the solution in the past, but the developer has yet to upgrade the app for the S7.

Try the app "good vibrations". Write to the developer. Ask him if you can get the new beta version of the app (optimized for marshmallow). That will enable you to pick among different vibration patterns for different apps. Or create your own.
