AC Question
Video but no audio on an older Samsung digital projection TV when casting.
I got a couple adapters from C2G. The first is an 18 pin male DVI (with the 9 center pins not included) to female HDMI. The video works fine but no audio. So I got a 27 pin male DVI to male HDMI and a double female HDMI adapters. The video is still fine but still no audio. So I am thinking that the DVI does not transmit an audio signal. I used the DVI originally for an older Samsung DVD player but that has a separate audio cables for the TV and surround sound receiver so audio is not a problem here. I use my Verizon Android tablet for casting, so when I cast the audio goes to Chromecast and I can't use a Bluetooth speaker. Can you provide with possible solutions to this issue or will this setup just not work? I replaced the bulb in the TV last year so I don't want to get a new TV which I know would have HDMIs and solve the problem.
